Tariff Woes Cramping Your Style? USA Made Bags and Pouches Can Save the Day!

Question: Did you plan 2019 custom bag projects around the possibility of skyrocketing tariffs? If you did, you must have that ever-elusive crystal ball! Can we borrow it for a sec?

So your marketing plans are in a bit of a tailspin because the custom bags you budgeted for are 25% or more higher than you thought they’d be. What do you do? Scrap it all and try again next year? Perhaps. But there’s another option: choosing USA made custom bags and pouches. Continue reading

Staff Review: Solid Laminated Gift Bag with Snap

Solid Laminated Gift Bag with SnapLaminated gift bags are among our most popular products we sell. But they don’t usually come with a closure, unless you order custom bags. Enter the Solid Laminated Gift Bag with Snap!

This is a super-cute bag that offers great logo printing space on a solid canvas. The gusset color is the same as the front and back and it’s all finished with a matte lamination, which is also a hard-to-find characteristic! Continue reading

Colored Zipper Cotton Wristlet: Staff Review of a Popular Pouch!

Colored Zipper Cotton WristletWhat do retail stores, food companies, and healthcare providers have in common? They all love our Colored Zipper Cotton Wristlet! So, we had Deborah, one of our staffers, do an extended test of this bag to see what all the buzz is about.

Well, for one…she loves the thick cotton canvas on this wristlet, and we couldn’t agree more. After all, it is 10 oz, which is more than durable enough to withstand whatever you can throw at (in?) a small pouch (note: the colored cottons are 9 oz.). The imprint is high quality, and it overall just feels like a sturdy pouch that’s going to last!  Continue reading

Newton Supply Co. and TradeWinds Custom Canvas Tote: A Success Story

Awesome photo credit to Steve Moakley

Recently we had a chance to chat with Laura Davis, Founder and Creative Director of Newton Supply Co. The company, based in Austin, Texas, offers sustainable and ethically made bags and accessories. They have been selling our TradeWinds Custom Canvas Tote in their online store since 2016. We love the mission of Newton Supply Co. as much as we love  working with TradeWinds…and we are thrilled they have found each other, because the two organizations dovetail perfectly!

Bulletin Bag: What prompted your team to consider a project using custom bags?

Laura Davis: We produce handbags and weekenders, and were looking for a reusable shopping tote to add to our line to cater to our gift shop retailers that buy wholesale from us. We wanted to look for a partner that could manufacture for us, since we are currently at capacity production-wise.  Continue reading

Horizontal Thermal Tote: Staff Review

Horizontal Thermal ToteLooking for a custom insulated bag that’s not too small and not too big, like the one Goldilocks would gravitate towards? You’ve found just the bag with our Horizontal Thermal Tote!

This custom insulated tote features a three-sided zipper on top, which allows for more food to be stowed inside without getting smooshed when you close it and also keeps the cold inside, where it’s supposed to be! Continue reading

Single Insulated Bottle Tote: More Than Just a Wine Bag!

Insulated Bottle ToteInsulated wine bags are great for toting your favorite chardonnay and keep it cool until you arrive at your destination. But what if you don’t like chilled wine? Do these bags turn into a big waste of money? Definitely not! Here’s why.

We recently put our Single Insulated Bottle Tote to the test, literally! Deborah (our awesome sales admin) visited her local liquor store. Together with the store manager, they grabbed bottle after bottle to see what they could fit inside of this handy insulated bag. You might be shocked (kidding, kidding!) to learn that traditional 750 mL wine bottles fit like a glove. But do you know what? 1.5 L magnums also fit (tightly, but if there’s a will…). That’s not all.  Continue reading

Why Don’t You Have Any Custom Hemp Bags on Your Website?

hemp reusable bagsHere’s the low-down on one of our most often asked questions, and we sure do wish the answer was better: custom hemp bags are just are really, really hard to source.

It’s true. On a regular basis, we scour our sources and turn over every rock for one–just ONE!–hemp reusable bag for our site. We used to have a super awesome hemp bag on our site, but unfortunately that factory stopped selling them here.

We dream about the day that we can shout from the rooftops that we’ve hit gold and found another hemp bag. It’s why we still have that category (Jute is a great alternative, too, and so is cotton. Just sayin’). But this day may not come for a long time. Continue reading

Folding Lunch Bag and a Custom Water Bottle: A Great Team!

Folding Lunch Bag Water bottles and lunch bags. A more perfect pairing has never been…Oh, ok. That’s taking things a little far. But they DO play well together. Speaking of playing well, our staff tester recently discovered that our Folding Lunch Bag meshes really well with some water bottles on Bulletin Bottle, and she was so excited to share what she discovered!

Our staff tester started out using the Folding Lunch Bag, but stumbled upon the fact that Bulletin Bottle’s h2go Mali Tumbler with Straw fits perfectly inside it! She decided to do a joint review since ultimately she tested both items together. Continue reading

Popular Custom Drawstring Backpacks Comparison: Staff Review

Drawstring Backpack ComparisonCustom drawstring backpacks. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they can be a pretty great addition to your branding project. They’re lightweight and super portable. In this staff review, we compare two of our most popular drawstring backpacks: The Classic Cinchpack and the Cinch Bag with Mesh Pocket.

Overall, both of these drawstring backpacks are pretty similar. After all, the nature of the bag is simplistic in design, and there’s not too much to expand on. Our staff tester tried out these two bags in relatively spontaneous ways: a picnic lunch, collecting things to take home during a hike, quick trip the store for just a few items, and carrying art supplies when heading to the park for a little R&R and art.  Continue reading
