The process is longer than for the printed reusable bags that you see in our product catalog, and the minimums are higher, but the end result is spectacular. Imagine your messaging in full color—and full bleed—wrapping all around the bag! What’s the best part? You spec the bag from top to bottom, inside and out. This is your vision on a fully customized shopping bag.

The outside of the bag is laminated with your full color/full bleed artwork in ‘matte’ or ‘gloss’ finish.  Both are slick and easy to wipe clean, but with slightly different sheens.

You also choose your base material option. The difference is visible on the inside of the bag (please inquire about samples!

Woven Polypropylene: Our most popular base material and is extremely durable and non-porous for easy cleaning.

Nonwoven Polypropylene:  Only slightly porous with a slightly softer feel than woven polypropylene.

Woven Recycled PET:  Made from post consumer recycled bottles and typically more expensive than the polypropylene options

In addition to the bag material, you also specify the following details:

Bag Size:  You specify the width, length and depth of the bag.  A common size for groceries is 13”w x 15”h x 8”d but you are in no way limited to this size.

All Over Printing:  You provide artwork for the front/back panels and side gussets.  Graphics can bleed right up to the seams since the material is printed before it is cut & sewn. The bottom of the bag is also printed with your artwork and some clients use this area to print bar codes or QR codes. We strongly recommend having a professional graphic designer create the artwork for your bag. We can recommend a designer if you don't have one. These bags are all about the colors and graphics, so you want it to be done right.

Thread Color:  It’s all about the details!  We can either match the thread to the colors in your design, or you can give us specific thread colors for contrast stitching—adding to the artistic flair of your bags.

Handle Length and Type:  Common sizes are 20” - 24” inches from seam to seam.  You will also select from the following handle options:

Self-Material Handles: This is the standard option. Made from the same material as your bag and printed to match your bag colors.

Nonwoven Polypropylene:  Wide range of colors, softer feel than the laminated handles (inquire about pricing)

Poly-Web Handles:  These handles have a slightly softer feel and are more comfortable to hold.  They have a slightly higher perceived value and are extremely durable (inquire about pricing)

Because the process for creating these bags is so complex, it’s important to choose a provider (like Bulletin Bag) who has experience in producing this type of bag.  They have to be done overseas, and have higher minimums (2500 bag minimum, with best pricing at 5000+) and longer lead times (approximately 3 months). If a provider tells you they can produce a bag faster than this, proceed with caution!  This is a red flag that indicates inexperience with the process—or a sign of someone who will make time commitments they may not be able to fulfill.  It’s extremely important to allow enough time for approval of e-proofs, preproduction samples (an actual printed sample bag), shipping and customs clearance.
